About Stop Wasting Power
We exist to uncover what hotels cannot see — how their electrical systems actually behave.
Not through assumptions or walk-round surveys, but through measured data.
Why This Exists
Most hotels are not short of advice.
They already have contractors, maintenance teams and energy reports.
What they often don’t have is a clear understanding of how their electrical systems actually behave — particularly when the building is quiet.
The biggest areas of waste are rarely obvious during the day. They happen overnight, when systems continue running as if demand hasn’t changed.
Stop Wasting Power was created to make that hidden behaviour visible — and to quantify what it is costing.

Alan Maslin AMEI — Electrical Engineer & Diagnostics Specialist

Alan has spent over a decade working across hotel estates, carrying out electrical testing

and inspections on complex systems.

During that time, one pattern became clear — significant energy waste was consistently present, but rarely identified.

Plant rooms running overnight. Pumps and fans operating at full load when demand had dropped. Systems behaving in ways no one could see.

Stop Wasting Power was created to bring that hidden behaviour into view — using     measured data rather than assumptions.

Independent. Focused. Measured.

Stop Wasting Power is not tied to any manufacturer, contractor or product.

We do not sell equipment.
We do not carry out installation work.

Our role is to identify where energy is being wasted, quantify it, and make it visible.

That independence matters.

It means our findings are based entirely on what the data shows — not on what needs to be sold.
